CHILD/YOUTH CARE WORKER

This Full-time position works a 5 day/night on and 5 off schedule. Ask about health insurance, flex spending, retirement plans and other benefits. High School Degree or equivalent required and college experience/degrees welcomed. Candidates must be at least 21 with valid driver's license. DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Grandfather Home for Children Inc., Banner Elk, NC, seeks Director of Development to increase financial support for campus-based and community services of non-profit organization. BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of fund-raising experience required. Other relevant experience may be considered. Frequent travel required, and company car provided to successful applicant. Salary range starts at $46K, negotiable with experience.

COORDINATOR OF CHURCH
AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Grandfather Home for Children Inc., (GFHC) in Banner Elk, NC, seeks a qualified, sincere, and motivated individual to increase community awareness and financial support for its campus-based and community ministry serving children who are survivors of trauma, abuse, and neglect. Motivational speaking ability, community organizing skills, and an ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships are required. Extensive travel and a willingness to work on weekends and in the evening are required, although there is much flexibility in the work schedule. Other expectations include: a strong working knowledge of the organizational structure, mission, and ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA); management of an active portfolio of churches and other community organizations, production/ maintenance of significant contacts every month, documentation of results and activity logs, aggressive search of new funding sources and identification of key individual donors and prospective trustees through an outreach program, assistance with Foundation marketing efforts, and help organizing and participating in events and professional meetings. Education and Experience: A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of religious or non-profit fund-raising, or other relevant experience. Frequent travel is required, and a company car is available. QUALIFICATIONS:
BACHELORS DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK, MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY OR RELATED DEGREE.

SUMMARY:
PROVIDE ADVOCACY, COUNSELING AND CASEWORK RESPONSIBILITIES FOR STUDENTS WHILE SERVING AS TEAM LIAISON WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL SYSTEMS WITH WHICH THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES INTERACT. MAINTAIN PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH EACH OF THESE SYSTEMS TO ENSURE THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF VIABLE PLANS OF CARE FOR THE CHILD/FAMILY DURING PLACEMENT THAT CONFORMS TO THE PERMANENCY PLAN FOR THE CHILD.
