This person is responsible for admission services for Grandfather Home for Children and Community Services for Children programs, as developed, providing point of contact and one voice to referral sources and assessment services. Consumer population includes child victims of neglect and/or emotional/sexual abuse, and other abuse with sexual and behavior management problems.

position available now at our Banner Elk, NC campus. This position is one of several where teamwork and close support is a given. These directors are the treatment responsible persons for abused/neglected children. Admission assessments, discharge planning, family work, on-call crisis response, and supervision of staff are among the main duties of the position. Masters in field required. Work Hx should include work with a specific population supporting designation as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

The Watauga County Tourism Development Authority Director's position offers the opportunity to build an organization committed to supporting creative ways to market the Boone/Watauga County area, and to provide support to special events designed to draw tourists to the area. The position also seeks to identify and support initiatives designed to improve or create local Eco-tourism infrastructure, i.e. biking trails, river access points, greenways, etc. The Director is responsible for all aspects of TDA management including preparing and implementing the annual marketing plan and budget, public relations, website management, tourism infrastructure enhancements, grant applications and management, and serves as liaison with public and private organizations.
Preferred education/experience: Five years or more in tourism related field, with a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, business or related field. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
