Visiting Artist Series continues Nov. 18
"Inner City" by Arnie Zimmerman
Appalachian State University's Turchin Center for the Visual Arts will host a lecture by artist Arnie Zimmerman as part of the center's Visiting Artist Series Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Turchin Center Lecture Hall on campus. A reception will follow the lecture. This event is free and open to the public.
Zimmerman is one of the most significant contemporary artists working in ceramics today. He has been recognized for his large-scale carved vessels, work in tiles and figurative and architectural structures.
The lecture is sponsored by the Appalachian's Catherine J. Smith Gallery, College of Fine and Applied Arts, clay and sculpture department of the Department of Art and the Department of Technology.
