Turner's 'Face to Face' at Art Cellar

Tim Turner's 'Face to Face' exhibition at The Art Cellar Gallery faced a fun and colorful opening reception.

The opening reception for artist Tim Turner's "Face to Face" exhibition was a real celebration as an enthusiastic crowd filled The Art Cellar Gallery.

Early arrivals where the lucky recipients of small masks, which featured faces from Turner's paintings. The exhibition of Turner's figurative acrylic on canvas will be featured through July 23.
The Art Cellar Gallery also has several of Turner's abstract pieces shown in other areas of the gallery, as well as his ceramic work.

Additional artwork on display includes realistic landscapes by artist David Birmingham, Zoey Brookshire's figurative work on canvas, new sculptures in steel by Bill Brown and stone sculptures by Jane Jaskevich. Summer always bring an ever changing mix of work by all the gallery artists displayed throughout the Banner Elk gallery's three floors of exhibition space.

Upcoming shows include "New Explorations" by Tim Ford and Lisa Stinson July 28 to Aug. 20, "Photographic Views" by Dot Griffith and Kim Penney Aug. 18 to Sept. 10, and the Avery Arts Council's Banner Elk Paint Out Aug. 27.
