The Wooden Button has fastened itself to ArtWalk, as the downtown Boone gallery welcomes its newest artist, Audrey Joyce.

Based in Hudson, Joyce’s crafting shop, The Wooden Button, is now being spotlighted in Boone.
She started her shop on Etsy in 2011, but said that crafting is something she’s been passionate about since she was a little girl. Back then, she would make her own Barbie clothes, so she and her sister had more options, Joyce said.

Joyce said this creativity is abundant in all her work, from little felt birds to blankets.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart for more than 10 years and now has two children of her own. Joyce said she is lucky to be a stay-at-home mom, as this gives her an opportunity (during nap time, of course) to do her second most favorite thing.

“I have a passion for creating, and everything I make is handmade,” Joyce said. “Hope you enjoy.”
Audrey Joyce’s Work is located on the main floor of ArtWalk, located at 611 W. King St. in downtown Boone. For more information, call (828) 264-9998, email (artwalkboone@yahoo.com) or visit http://www.artwalkboonecom.
