This July, the Fourth comes First in Boone.

July’s First Friday Art Crawl has been moved to July 11, as to not conflict with the town of Boone’s Fourth of July celebration.

According to downtown coordinator Virginia Falck, the annual Fourth of July parade will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, July 4. Following the parade, the public and members of the community are invited to visit the Jones House Community center for cake, watermelon and live music.

“The following Friday, July 11, will be when the normal First Friday events for July will be held in downtown Boone,” Falck said in an email.
