Appalachian State University’s Looking Glass Gallery is accepting exhibition proposals for an exhibit that will be displayed March 19 through April 13.

According to gallery staff, “This is an excellent opportunity for Appalachian State University students, as well as groups, classes, faculty and staff to exhibit their artwork, receive peer feedback and gain firsthand experience with the gallery submission and exhibition process.”

The deadline to apply is Friday, Feb. 24, at the Office of Student Programs on the second floor of Plemmons Student Union, or by email to Dianna Loughlin, curator of the Looking Glass Gallery, at (lookingglassgalleryasu@gmail.com)

To apply, the artist must submit a completed application form, along with an artist statement, artist biography and a CD or PowerPoint presentation with images of a cohesive body of work.

Application forms can be found on the Looking Glass Gallery website at http://www.lookingglassgallery.appstate.edu. Printed application forms are also located outside the art office on the second floor of Wey Hall on campus. Applications from groups, duos and class exhibits are encouraged.

To assist with the application process, the gallery website provides an example of submitting a strong exhibition proposal to the gallery.
