Jewelry, sculptures at Arts & Artifacts in Blowing Rock
On May 14, Art & Artifacts will be participating in the Sunset Stroll on Sunset, a unique shopping experience in Blowing Rock where the galleries and shops on Sunset Drive stay open late for shopping, food and drinks.
This Friday, Art & Artifacts is hosting an Adorned by Lonnie Trunk Show featuring jewelry by the well know jewelry designers, Ayala Bar and a Spanish designer, Uno. The jewelry will remain with Art & Artifacts for four weeks.
Ayala Bar was born and presently resides in Israel. Since graduating art school, she has worked in many artistic areas, from theater to interior design. In the late 1980s, she surfaced as a prominent Israeli jeweler. Her current designs blend natural elements and glass with assorted metals and fabrics to create a rich mosaic, resulting in the beautiful and intricate limited edition pieces.
Adorned by Lonnie is a boutique dedicated to bringing eclectic, high quality, hand-crafted unique jewelry from around the world to the High Country. Approximately 50 artists contribute to an expansive inventory representing many countries, styles and price points.
Arts & Artifacts will also display new work from Brenda Moore, Irmaly Brackin and wooden sculpture artist Mark Plaga. In addition, Frances Bost is the featured artist on Saturday, May 15.
Arts & Artifacts and Blowing Rock Gallery of Homes and Land are hosting the event, located at 159 Sunset Drive in Blowing Rock.
