‘Inherent Beauty’

The Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery presents “Inherent Beauty,” the art of Julia Ralston, which will be on display for the month of September.

A reception will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Like many other artists, I see beauty not only in our vistas, meadows, rivers and marshes, but also in out of the way places, transitional places, even in neglected places,” Ralston said.

This is evident in her work, with subjects ranging from an old rusted tractor to the colors of Ethiopia or a even weaving mill.

“This show, ‘Inherent Beauty,’ refers to the beauty that can be found in all things and is also in each one of us, put there by our creator,” Ralston said.

Crossnore Fine Arts Gallery is located at 205 Johnson Lane on The Crossnore School campus. For more information, contact Heidi Fisher at (828) 733-3144.

The gallery specifically supports The Crossnore School’s Stepping Stones program, which transitions students from foster care to successful independent living. =For more information on The Crossnore School, visit http://www.crossnoreschool.org or call (828) 733-4305.
