Haywood at Hands
The works of jewelry artist Don Haywood will be presented in a
special showing at Hands Gallery Oct. 18 to 31.
The artist’s ever-changing jewelry is primarily sterling silver, with a focus on a specially selected gemstone, fossil, crystal or dicroic glass centerpiece.
According to Haywood, “The creativity and finesse of the metal designs that encase the focus stone are all one of a kind, and each piece is signed, dated and marked sterling whenever space allows.”
A complement of necklaces, earrings and rings make up the special show display, and new pieces are arriving on a regular basis. Haywood has been producing artful jewelry for many years and has his work in 13 galleries throughout North Carolina. Hands Gallery is his hometown location and features the most extensive collection available.
Hands Gallery is located at 543 W. King St. in downtown Boone. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. For more information, call (828) 262-1970.
