BRAHM’s Art Ball set for June 27
The Blowing Rock Art and History Museum is sponsoring its
inaugural Art Ball, themed “It’s Never Too Late to Make a Great Impression!,” from 7 to 10 p.m.
Thursday, June 27.
“Everyone is invited to come to this festive occasion and contribute to the creativity level,” a museum spokesperson said.
The museum plans to celebrate its highly acclaimed current exhibition, “Art Among Friends,” which features four regional collections of American Impressionist art. The party will be held in the galleries among the paintings and will give partygoers an opportunity to dine among the artwork.
The ball also serves as a fundraiser for BRAHM, allowing guests the opportunity to donate to the museum, while enjoying the evening.
The Art Ball will include an optional contest among participating tables for the most creative tabletop. Doors to the facility will open at 1 p.m. to allow creative types to artfully decorate their table.
Music, dancing and dining — catered by Reid’s — are also included in the party’s plans.
The Mike Willis Duo will play light jazz and take requests for dance favorites, and a special scavenger hunt will be offered for the more adventuresome partygoers.
Tickets are $125 per person, and tables of eight will be prepared. Those interested in attending should RSVP by calling BRAHM at (828) 295-9099, ext. 3001.
