Artists Holiday Sale
Artistic talent, creative energy and inspired ideas are behind the collection of artists' work put together for a special Artists Holiday Sale at the Anvil Art's Studio in Linville Falls.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 26, the gallery building, which normally exclusively displays the work of sculptor Bill Brown, will be transformed for a first ever holiday sale. Featuring the work of more than a dozen different area artists and craftspeople working in many different mediums from glass to recycled fabric, the Holiday Sale will offer great choices for unique holiday gifts.
Blown glass tumblers and ornaments, pottery mugs to serving bowls, candlesticks, scarves and ties, locally handmade soaps, creative aprons, sculpture, jewelry and homemade treats will all be offered for that special gift or holiday treat.
"Gifts created and sold here in the mountains are a great way to share some of the distinct richness of the area, supporting the artists and small businesses that are such an important part of our communities," a gallery spokesperson said.
There will also be gifts created from recycled materials, highlighting the creators' care for the environment, as well as for artistic creativity.
The Anvil Arts Studio is located on U.S. 221 in Linville Falls, minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Artists Holiday Sale will begin Friday, Nov. 26, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 12.
Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
