ArtWalk welcomes back all the new and returning students settling in for the new school year.

As the student body moves into new dwellings and gets ready for classes to start, ArtWalk is offering some options for that centerpiece to tie the whole room together — be it an oil painting at discounted price, customized signs made of license plate letters or a rustic yard stake.

Designer Audrey Joyce is offering pillows and blankets, dry erase boards made out of frames and even crafty plastic bag dispensers.

According to ArtWalk, “Her delightful designs are sure to add a pop of color to your room.”

Joyce said she has been passionate about crafting since she was a little girl, when she used to make Barbie clothes for her and her sister’s dolls.

“I have been married to my high school sweetheart for more than 10 years,” she said. “I am so lucky to be a stay-at-home mom, giving me the opportunity — during nap time, of course — to do my second most favorite thing.”

Joyce added that she has a passion for creating, and everything in her line is handmade.
ArtWalk is located at 611 W. King St. in downtown Boone. For more information, call (828) 264-9998, email (artwalkboone@yahoo.com) or visit http://www.artwalkboone.com.
